Here's how it works. Right after breakfast we'll meet for a one hour class to cover basic concepts and camera operation. With a camera in your hand and our easy to follow instructions we'll prep the housing and get ready to dive. We'll then all walk down to the beach together and get in the water. Our expert staff will dive right along with you making sure you're on the right track and capturing beautiful underwater images. After the dive you will learn how to download your images to a computer and we'll burn a CD for you. After that, we'll do it all over again. We'll prep the camera system and let you use it for the rest of the day. You can dive as many times as you like. (Remember, space is limited so register early to guarantee a spot.) If you already own a Tetra system feel free to sit in on the class. You're welcome to follow along with your own camera and join us on the dive. Who knows, you might just learn a trick or two.

With unlimited diving and our daily photo classes you can go from 0 to 60 in one short week. Whether you have shot digital before or this is your first trip with your new camera, we'll be there to help you along. Here are a few suggestions on what to bring to make the most of the Digital Shootout.

Digital camera and housing:

There are many types of digital cameras and housings to choose from these days, and all are welcome at the Digital Shootout. Our staff of digital specialists will be happy to work with you and help you take the best images possible. Be sure to bring any accessory strobes or lenses. Bonaire has great wide angle and macro subjects.

Laptop computer:
To a digital photographer the laptop computer serves as storage device and digital darkroom. Once the images are saved on the hard drive you can use software such as Adobe Photoshop to edit your photos. Adobe staff will be on hand to teach you how to make those good shots great. Don't miss out. Be sure to bring along those accessories like USB cables and PCM/CIA cards too.
